Seven students from the Rainbow Bricks team in Letterfrack National School scooped the title of SAP FIRST LEGO League Champions 2015 at the live national final in Galway.
Just under 300 students from 10 counties around Ireland travelled to the west to take part in the final which ran all day yesterday in the Radisson Blu hotel with heightening excitement and tension. For each of the teams competing, this was the final leg of a challenging and exhilarating journey which saw them complete projects which addressed the huge question: “What is The Future of Learning?“.
Bernard Kirk, Director of The Galway Education Centre said, “We are very proud to have hosted such an important event again here in Galway and we are encouraged to see the increased interest in Robotics in Ireland amongst our students and teachers. The high levels of hard work, dedication and creativity displayed among students and teachers from all over the country on this day is increasingly impressive. We look forward to cheering our new champions on as they represent Ireland at one of the international competitions abroad during the summer.”
