Using iPads to Enhance Teaching and Learning

In this must-see session, Joe Dale will explore practical ideas on how iPods and iPads can facilitate collaboration and foster creativity through personalised journeys and workflows. He will show how multi-modal devices help learners access higher order thinking skills, cater to multiple intelligences and create new ways of working, putting the learning right in the students’ hands. He will be looking at how iOS devices can be used for consuming and creating multimedia content drawing on a range of skills as well as issues such as file management, classroom voting and QR codes. He will also be sharing some top tips on how to keep up to date with the latest recommended apps for education and troubleshooting any issues you may have along the way. Suggestions of YOUR favourite apps are welcome too.

Joe Dale is an independent consultant who works with a range of organisations such as Network for Languages, ALL, The British Council, the BBC, Skype, Microsoft and The Guardian. He is host of the TES MFL forum, Vital MFL Portal Manager for the Open University, former CESI keynote and recognised expert on technology and language learning.
