Camara Ireland together with Camara Education will share the impact of the iMlango project (http://www.imlango.com/index.html). iMlango is an intelligent learning programme in Kenyan schools that uses applied technology to improve education outcomes. The presenters will demo students’ numeracy improvements backed up by the iMlango learning data. Included in this will be the initial findings of Camara Ireland’s numeracy pilot in Irish primary schools.
Presenter Biography:
Camara Ireland is the Irish education hub for Camara. We envision an Ireland where all young people have the skills to realise their potential and confidently create their future. We train and support all educators, working with low income communities, to use technology to inspire young people to master 21st century learning skills. Camara is a registered charity in Ireland, the UK and the US. We use technology to deliver 21st century skills, and as such improve education in disadvantaged communities around the world. The hub network includes two computer refurbishment hubs (Dublin and London) and seven education hubs (Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Lesotho, Haiti and Ireland).
