Tuigeann Anois! Creating Irish Language ibooks using an online collaborative learning environment

Presented by: Kathryn Scannell

To share how using book creator in a collaborative environment can help students to understand and learn Irish content in a fun, creative and collaborative manner. Utilising all 4 language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, students created personalised ibooks on classroom topics. An online collaborative environment was fostered through our schools LMS Schoology where students used discussion forums to discuss language content and technical queries on app smashing and book creator. Attendees will learn about lessons learnt during the project and how this project has helped move my class to a more student-centred approach where I have become the facilitator.
