This workshop is for those thinking about maybe doing or in the early stages of personal research into classroom / school ICT usage. It looks in a practical way at the kinds of things that make both formal and less formal research more ‘doable’ and introduces participants to a number of ideas / activities that can help a novice get more from the research process.
Presenter Biography:
Conor Galvin is a Lecturer and Researcher at UCD Dublin School of Education where he contributes to various education, ICT and research methods programmes. His teaching interests include active learning at university and second level and education technology. His research interests centre around public policy, schools ICT and the impact of new and emergent technology on learning and society, teachers’ professional knowledge, and innovation transfer in an information society. Dr Galvin holds the President’s Award for Teaching Excellence at UCD Dublin.
