This presentation aims to give examples of how teachers can use technology to cover many of the objectives of the English curriculum when working with a novel in the classroom. It will demonstrate how pupils imagination can be sparked by using a variety of websites, apps and technologies to respond to the text in the class novel.
Presenter Biography:
Damien Quinn is a primary school teacher, teaching in a large rural primary school in Sligo. Having taught in mainstream for many years, he now teachers in an ASD unit within the primary school. He uses technology as much as possible in the classroom. He is a PDST Technology (formerly NCTE) trainer and also runs the Seomra Ranga website (www.seomraranga.com).
