Presenter Biography:

Irene is a post-primary Computer Science and Maths teacher and a doctoral student at Dublin City University. Her career began in engineering, and she also spent time seconded with PDST/Oide, supporting teachers of Leaving Certificate Computer Science. Her research explores the role of generative AI, particularly ChatGPT, in novice programming, emphasising a human-centered, ethical approach. She is committed to fostering critical AI literacy in education.
