Workshop – Pete and the team from Mechatrons will lead participants in programming and controlling the movement of the Sesca robots, starting from the basics of motor control, sensors, mechanics, electronics, navigation and programming, and advancing to maze solving and collision avoidance. Numbers will be limited to 24 to allow participants to engage fully, and this 45 minute session will be run twice. Please sign up on arrival at the conference to ensure your place.
Presenter Biography:
Pete is an award winning Irish roboticist who takes us on a robotic journey that blurs the boundaries between robots in Science Fiction and state of the art real life robotics. Through his work with Mechatrons, Pete leads students to discover the wonder and excitement of STEM education through the challenge of robotics.
