Navigating the digital skills gap for parents & guardians

This short presentation (20 min) provides a hands-on introducation to the PEDL programme and discusses ways of encouraging parents to get involved in digital learning in the Post-Primary setting. By the end of the session, teachers will understand how to engage parents and develop communication pathways between home and school.

Presenter Biography:

Úna Fleming is a Senior Research Assistant at TU Dublin, specialising in computing education and digital literacy. With a strong interdisciplinary background, she has contributed to national initiatives in coding education, curriculum design, and teacher training. Úna’s research focuses on equitable and inclusive technology practices to empower diverse learners.
