Presented by: Ali Mc Namara
Story – This presentation examines classroom contexts and how they can improve or impede students’ attitudes, motivations and perspectives of mathematics. Classroom contexts can inform second level educators about what students enjoy about mathematics, how confident they are at mathematics and what students find relevant about mathematics. Targeting these attitudes, motivations and perspectives can be done by a game that integrates game-based learning characteristics. This offers a solution to the growing trend of negative attitudes towards mathematics.
