Junior Cycle Coding in Action is a CPD initiative of Junior Cycle for Teachers (JCT) in collaboration with LERO, the Irish Software Research Center. The initiative provides support to schools implementing the NCCA Junior Cycle short course in coding. Face to face CPD events were further supported by online collaboration and webinars. In addition, JCT collaborated with industry partners such as Apple, Google, Intel and Microsoft to offer engaging elective workshops. This presentation will outline the success of the initiative to date and map out phase 2 of the initiative, due to be launched this academic year.
