ICT Troubleshooting: General Tips and tricks

Main message: With the ever changing landscape of ICT teachers and schools can at times feel like they are falling behind. The school may have some up to date equipment but what happens it this equipment give trouble? What you can do to solve it or at least rule out what it’s not.

Learning outcomes: An opportunity for teachers to gain hands on experience in troubleshooting devices and other issues that may arise in the classroom. The message would place emphasis on: PC/Laptop troubleshooting, network troubleshooting, general ICT tips and tricks to define what’s has caused the issue.

Presenter Biography:

Conor Linehan from Cork. Currently studying in the PMEP for Hibernia college with my thesis focusing on teachers attitudes toward ICT troubleshooting. Previous experience working for Adapt-IT based in Mahon where my main role was troubleshooting for customers. I hope that i can inform teachers on some tricks of the trade to allow them the tools to solve IT issues
