There is no better way to prepare students for the world of work than by having the opportunity to sharpen and augment their digital and professional skills with the SkillsBuild for Learners platform. Formerly known as Open P-TECH, SkillsBuild provides FREE online learning activities & resources in emerging technologies e.g. Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Cloud while also allowing students to earn recognised digital credentials. In this session we will take educators through how SkillsBuild can be used in the Irish post-primary classroom to compliment the existing curriculum and how they can take advantage of our new SkillsBuild STEM Labs which are live in person learning experiences to learn about drone and cybersecurity technologies.
Presenter Biography:
Yvonne Conaty is the P-TECH Programme Manager for IBM in Ireland since June 2019. Prior to joining IBM Yvonne taught in post-primary schools here in Ireland for 10 years.
