Dive In! Exploring Ocean Conservation Through the Use of Immersive Technologies

This is a short (20 min) presentation: This session will provide attendees with an overview of an integrated STEM research project undertaken with 5 primary schools in County Galway which aimed to raise awareness about ocean conservation issues through the use of immersive technologies, focusing in particular on virtual reality (VR).

Presenter Biography:

Dr Michael Mc Namara is an Assistant Professor in ICT/Digital Learning with Mary Immaculate College, Limerick where his work across pre-service teacher education programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level centres on exploring innovative uses of digital technologies to support and enhance teaching, learning and assessment practices.
