Digital storytelling using the iPad

The term Digital Storytelling is one which has become increasingly popular in the past few years. But what exactly is Digital Storytelling and how can a device such as the iPad be used to facilitate it? This presentation will show an example of Digital Storytelling using an iPad. The presentation will showcase a project undertaken by children in a Primary School (Autism Unit). The presentation will show the apps used and the steps involved in bringing them all together into a finished product. The project utilised still images, video, text, screenshots, audio files, a variety of apps, comics and more. The presentation will highlight how the project was completed using just one device. Presenter Biography:

Cormac is a Primary School Teacher currently working in the Autism Unit at Carrigaline Educate Together National School in Cork. He began his teaching career in Navan where his interest in using technology in the classroom was sparked. He is an Apple Distinguished Educator and a passionate advocate of the use of digital technologies in the classroom.
