This demonstration is a informal continuous ‘show and tell’ demonstation of Turtlestitch during the conference, at a digital embroidery station at which one or two machines will continuously stitch out coded designs during the conference. Interested visitors can “have a go” at coding their designs and setting them up for stitching during the day.
Presenter Biography:
Helen, John, Richard, and Mags are part of the Irish chapter of the global Turtlestitch collective. We are interested in how Turtlestitch can be integrated into the curriculum formally (John and Helen currently use it with their second level Computer Science students) and informally (at family focussed events e.g. Dublin Maker, Coolest Projects).
