CSinc has been delivering free teacher PD for a number of years, focusing particularly on PD for the pilot of the Leaving Certificate Computer Science (LCCS) subject in second-level schools in Ireland along with summer camps and outreach. Traditionally these sessions are delivered in person, with a focus on hands-on activities, but the sudden changes faced by the COVID-19 pandemic closures required an alternative approach. The session will highlight all of the novel and uncharted journey of curating and developing virtual CPD, outreach and summer camps ensuring the continuity and quality of learning during Covid-19 education disruption.

Approaches that promote inclusivity are a priority for the CSinc team. The CSinc team want to reach all types of schools, school levels and locations. The inclusive in CSinc means that if you are a rural school/teacher in Connemara to a local school in Dublin we are here to help. The Team is based out of TU Dublin, Tallaght Campus, where the camp team are faculty of the School of Science , Department of Computing (CSinc.ie)
