Assessment – using online tools to make it happen

Presented by: Mary Jo Bell & Ciara Brennan

In this hand-on session, we will introduce you to Padlet, Kahoot and Socrative for use in assessment of pupils. This workshop is ideal for those looking to use free online resources to assess their students in innovative and creative ways. Participants will be shown how to make and display quizzes and tests for use, with a chance to create resources on these sites during the session. These tools can afford you an amazing opportunity to assess your students in a new, exciting way. You can learn where they are falling down – and alter your teaching plans accordingly. If you feel jaded by handwritten records and Friday tests, it’s time to make a change and start using tools that do all that work for you.
