Practical Virtual Worlds in Education - Case Studies from Irish Schools

Presented by:
James Corbett & Keith Kennedy

In terms of a workshop I would like to take people through all the practical steps to get up and going with their own virtual world, including downloading and installing the software client, registering accounts, customizing their avatars, navigating the virtual world, building new objects, transforming the landscape, collaborating and communicating with other users in-world and scripting object behaviours. All these steps will be put together to re-create and re-enact an important event from Irish history.
