Teaching using a Tablet PC

Presented by:
Padraig O'Dubhaigh

An informal presentation of a few different models of TabletPC, outlining some of the possibilities for Maths teaching.
I will share my experience of using it in class for the past 3 years, and we'll take a look at the following software packages and their potential on the TabletPC: Jing, Office OneNote 2007, Windows Journal, Math Input Panel (Equation Writer) and GeoGebra.

Pádraig Ó Dubhaigh has 15 years teaching experience, 2 of which were in France, and he has a Maîtrise-ès-Lettres from Université de Rouen. He then taught in DIT and IT Carlow before spending 10 years teaching French and Maths in Coláiste de hÍde, Dublin where he was also ICT Coordinator. He now works in Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne, An Daingean and has been a member of the CESI National Executive for the past 3 years.
