I hope to introduce the new technology of Google Wave and demonstrate how it can be used in an educational context. I have used Wave since July 2009 in many contexts such as in class with students, with friends and colleagues as a collaborative tool and also as a developer extending it with gadgets and robots.

Presenter Bio:
John Jennings works in Tipperary Institute where he lecturers in JavaScript, Content Management, Systems Administration, and Educational Technologies. John has a Masters in eLEarning Design and Development and has worked with educational technology since 1995. He has also setup and now manages the institutions Moodle site and also heads up a Centre for ICT in Education that promotes ICT in primary and secondary education through its annual conference.
