Successfully Integrating a Virtual Learning Environment (V.L.E.) and Sourcing Quality Content – a case study
The presentation will look at the challenges facing teachers and management when the decision has been made to go down the route of a V.L.E. Especially how to access quality content that is relevant to the schools needs. In addition to this, implementing a change management programme for teachers to embrace this technology which includes professional development programme delivered via our VLE and facilitated by our own staff.
Terry Fannon has 3 years industry experience in technology, including but not limited too Network infrastructures, Web technologies, ERP implementations (functional & Technical), eLearning implementations (globally), eLearning course development. He has developed, customised, implemented and supported an elearning platform based on the open source software MOODLE – www.learnforlife.ie. Terry has three years teaching experience, teaching various aspects of technology, and has been seconded from teaching to implement elearning programme within the CGVEC.
