Capitalising on Student Access to ICT in the Home - a Discussion

This brief interactive session may also prove useful for ICT Co-ordinators who are charged with the responsibility for staff development in this area.  Central to this strategy is the promotion of quality Internet-based research by students and the introduction of differentiated ICT-based homework.

Presenter Bio: 

Michael Molamphy teaches in Portumna Community School, Portumna, Co. Galway where he is also the ICT Co-ordinator.  He recently completed a Master's in Digital Media in Education at the University of Limerick on the topic of ICT Integration in Irish Secondary Schools.  He has also undertaken the University’s inaugural Educational Mentoring Programme.  Michael is currently concentrating on the development of strategies for supporting teachers who wish to take their first steps towards the integration of ICT into their teaching methodologies.
