Michael hopes to identify 7 common sense steps which schools can take to improve the use of technology in their schools. For example, setting out a strategic plan which deals with budgeting concerns. Improving the Infrastructure and the link to the need for technical support. Integrating the technology into the classroom and the subjects and identifying the relevant online content.
Michael Cox is the Technology Services Manager at Tipperary Institute (www.tippinst.ie). Michael has a Bachelor of Commerce and Diploma in Systems analysis from NUI Galway and recently completed a Masters of Science in Internet Systems from DCU. He delivered a talk at last year's conference based on his thesis "Technical Support for ICT in Irish Post Primary Schools".
