Google Apps Education Edition Workshop
The workshop will offer hands on experience of using Google Apps for Education. It will cover the collaborative use of email, calendars, documents, spreadsheets and presentations in a school setting. Advice will be offered on the process of signing up a school to use Google Apps for Education
Pádraig Ó Dubhaigh has 14 years teaching experience, 2 of which were in France, and he has a Maîtrise ès Lettres from Université de Rouen. Since then, he has taught in DIT and IT Carlow, and currently teaches French and Maths in Coláiste de hÍde, Tallaght where he is ICT Coordinator
John Hegarty is an ICT Coordinator with 19 years’ teaching experience and has been teaching IT full time for 8 years. He has an MSc. (IT in Education) from TCD. He has done research on behalf of the NCTE on the production of minority language software. He has been a mentor with TeachNet (www.teachnet.ie) and has done work for Scoilnet (www.scoilnet.ie). He has been a member of CESI for over 10 years. He is a member of ILUG (Irish LinuxUsers Group) and has a keen interest in the use of Free/Libre/Open Source Software (FLOSS) in education in Ireland.
