Hermes Thin Client Project and VLE
This presentation will examine the key findings that have emerged from the Hermes Project to date - teachers key skill set, prior infrastructure and usage of technology, overview of Thin Client and project structure. We will also outline the implementation and practical usage of Microsoft Class Server VLE and the future direction of this product under Sharepoint 2007
<p><strong>Tom Mc Fadden</strong> - Primary Teacher for 28 years, seconded to NCTE for last 4 years as coordinator of Hermes Project. 20 years involvement in ICT in Education, including tutoring and course design for NCTE and INTO. Coordinated previous SIP project under IT2000. Very involved with the integration and production of multimedia in education.</p>
<p><br /> <strong>Dr. Miriam Judge</strong> - Lecturer in Multimedia in the School of Communications in DCU. Research interests includes: ICT in Education, E-Learning Technologies and Media Production. Involved in research in a number of high profile educational ICT projects including: Wired for Learning, Hermes Project and Interactive Whiteboards.</p>
