Creating your own Digital Content
This presentation will introduce teachers to a number of applications that facilitate the development of customised digital activities. The applications, including Literacy Activity Builder, Numeracy Activity Builder and Contentgenerator downloads are template-driven, easy to use and require minimal expertise. Examples will be presented of teacher-created resources, including matching, cloze, ordering and quiz-type games. This presentation is suitable for both first and second level teachers.
Robbie O'Leary is Principal of Sacred Heart SNS, Killinarden, Tallaght. He is well known for his work promoting ICTs usage in education, and has written and lectured extensively on the subject. He has worked closely with CESI for many years, as well as with INTO, CESI and Trinity College, from whom he holds a Masters degree. He has produced a number of best-selling multimedia software titles for Irish primary schools, and is the instigator of the NCTE Digital Schools award scheme.
