On Thursday March 20th 2014 the Microsoft Ireland Educators Summit will take place at Microsoft Ireland. This event will focus on key issues facing educators in the primary and secondary school sector today. During the day attendees will have an opportunity to plan for the future whilst listening to relevant content on topics such as assessments, innovative classroom practices, tools and solutions that can effectively integrate technology with teaching such as mobile learning, visual learning, collaboration platform and more. Speakers include Ciaran Cannon TD (Minister of State for Training and Skills at the Dept of Education and Skills), Professor Barry O’Sullivan (British Council), Cathriona Hallahan (MD, Microsoft Ireland),Rory O’Toole (Principal, Scoil Chonglais, Baltinglass) and Alan Mongey (Principal, Claregalway Community College). In addition, students from CUS will speak about their experience of tablets in the classroom, a number of Irish educators will speak about their best practice of using technology in the classroom, and Microsoft Technology experts will bring attendees through a classroom of the future vision.
