Conference 2009

Teaching: Learning: Technology - Gaining Vision

February 13th: Maldron Hotel, Tallaght
February 14th: Coláiste de h-Íde, Castle Tymon Road, Tallaght

The CESI National Conference, in association with Teacher Professional Networks (TPN), is Ireland's leading conference addressing ICT and learning. It has a long and proud tradition of foregrounding good practice in ICT usage from primary, second level and third level teaching settings as well as engendering critical debate on key issues of interest to practitioners in all areas and levels of the Irish education system.

Whether you are a teacher new to ICT or a seasoned ICT veteran, you will find presentations and workshops of relevance to you and your school. Digital Video Essentials, Why Blogging is Best, Podcasting and Virtual School Twinning are just a few of topics to be addressed by presentations and workshops.

Along with the formal programme, you will have the opportunity to network with primary, second and third level teachers from around the country who share your same interests and concerns about the use of ICT in the classroom.

Watch this space as further conference details are released in the weeks ahead. A full list of last year's presentations and workshops can be viewed here, and a full list of all presentations since 2004 can be found here. Any and all additional information and enquiries may be addressed to conference-at-cesi.ie (replace '-at-' with '@').

CESI, founded in 1973, promotes the use of ICT in education at all levels in the Irish Education System. It is a voluntary body that draws its members from primary, post primary and third level teachers. The CESI Conference is generously supported by the Teacher Professional Networks (TPN), www.tpnetworks.ie. We would also like to thank the National Centre for Technology in Education (NCTE), www.ncte.ie, for its continued support.
